About
I'm a product designer with 13 years of experience, almost all of it in enterprise software. I spent the last 3.5 years at LightBeam.ai, a privacy and data governance startup, where I was one of two designers. Before that I was at Nutanix for 6 years, and I started out at Globant working on asset management and fintech products.

At LightBeam.ai
- 2-person team
- 7–8 major features
- 30+ minor features
- Product management
- Prototyping and Development
At LightBeam.ai, I was one of two designers at a privacy and data governance startup. I shipped 7 to 8 major features and more than 30 minor ones. Because the team was small, I often took on a fair amount of the product work too, understanding business goals and shaping the scope and roadmap for my areas. I learnt to use AI tools to code and create prototypes for sales demos, conferences and customer validation.
I also led the overhaul of the product's look and feel. I set the visual direction with a senior visual designer, oversaw the design system and UI library with a team of third-party UI contractors, and planned the migration in phases so feature work never had to stop.
At Nutanix
- 40-person team
- Lead for 2–3 major products
- Strategic initiatives
At Nutanix, I was part of a team of 40 designers. I owned two major product areas and led design for the company's first SaaS offering on our native cloud platform. I mentored a lot of junior designers and helped shape our processes and design practices.
My last few years were on a strategic platform that integrated 10+ products. That work usually meant getting 10 to 15 product leaders aligned before anything could move.
How I usually work
-
I immerse myself in the domain until I can hold my own with the domain experts.
-
I would much rather ship something narrow that works than something perfect that slips.
-
When requirements are vague, I would rather write the spec myself and have it argued down than wait for one.
-
I show rough work early and often.
-
Getting a large group to the same page is usually my job, and I do not mind that it is slow work.
-
AI is where I think out loud and stress-test an idea before it goes anywhere. I still do a lot of the heavy lifting myself.
What I'm looking for
A senior staff role or lead role on something genuinely complicated. I have spent my career making difficult systems usable for people who are under pressure, and I am at my best on large projects that take a while to figure out. AI products are the version of that I find most interesting right now, but the difficulty matters more to me than the domain.
